INFORMATION SHEET

Acetals display good impact resistance, dimensional stability, high mechanical strength with natural lubricity and outstanding surface hardness. They have a high dielectric strength and are resistant to many solvents. Moisture absorption is very low and has little or no effect on strength properties. Acetals have a wide working temperature range of -45°Cto +100°C.

• Copolymer grades are best suited for high temperature water applications
• Acetals are widely used as parts in the food industry*
  *Not all acetals are F.D.A. approved
• Typical applications include bearings, gears, bushing and wear resistant components
