Description

A highly underrated thermoplastic which has very good chemical resistance combined with excellent mechanical properties. Minimal moisture absorption of o.o3% and a continuous working temperature range of — 160°C (copolymer) to + 100°C, with excursions up + 130°C makes this material an ideal candidate for many applications.

  • Thermoformable
  • Not naturally U.V. resistant and therefore requires stabilisers Natural grades (low transparency) approved for use in the food industry
  • Can be printed after Corona Treating
  • Not resistant to aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Avoid all possible contact with copper and manganese
  • Very high fatigue strength
  • Applications: bearings & bushings, pump components, tank liners

How do I clean and maintain Polypropylene Sheets?

Polypropylene sheets are low-maintenance and easy to clean:

Use a soft cloth with mild soap and water
Avoid strong solvents like acetone, which can damage the surface
Resistant to most stains and chemicals, making cleaning simple in industrial environments

Is Polypropylene eco-friendly and recyclable?

Yes, Polypropylene is 100% recyclable and is identified by the recycling code #5. It can be:

Recycled into new products such as containers, automotive parts, and textiles
Environmentally friendly: Produces fewer emissions during production compared to some other plastics

We make buying cut to size polypropylene easy and convenient

Polypropylene sheet or the brand name which it’s more commonly known by, Corflute, comes in sheets resembling corrugated cardboard. Plastic ‘ribs’ sandwiched between plastic walls produce this lightweight but strong plastic material which is also known by the names ‘fluted poly’ and extruded twin wall plastic’. Polypropylene is a popular choice for signage and advertising banners due its printability and being weather resistant (UV resistant), lightweight, strong, and durable. Order here for wholesale prices. We sell direct from our Gold Coast warehouse for commercial use and domestic purposes.

Spoke to someone named Kip or kit this morning she was very rude and blunt,
We have an urgent requirement for Teflon sheet and she scoffed at me when I said we needed it urgently, and just said we are too busy to do that.
Very unprofessional
When owners holland plastic read this comment just be aware our order would have been in excess of $20k
we were happy to pay extra in overtime rates or overnight freight.
I would hate to have this person completing sales for my company especially when we have quite a large order needing sorted

Thank you for you terrible service we shall order from an interstate company from now on 👎🏻

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the common applications of Polypropylene (PP) Sheets?

Chemical storage tanks and liners
Packaging materials and reusable containers
Laboratory equipment due to its chemical resistance
Automotive parts for interior panels and battery cases
Orthotic and prosthetic devices
Signage and point-of-sale displays

Can Polypropylene Sheets be used both indoors and outdoors?

Water resistance: Ideal for moisture-prone environments
Chemical resistance: Performs well in corrosive or chemical-exposed conditions
Limited UV resistance: May degrade with prolonged sun exposure unless UV-stabilized grades are used

What colors are available in Polypropylene Sheets?

Standard colors: Natural (translucent white), grey, black, and white

What are the key properties of Polypropylene Sheets?

Excellent chemical resistance: Resistant to acids, alkalis, and solvents
High impact strength: Durable and resistant to cracking under stress
Lightweight: Easy to handle and fabricate
Flexibility: Can bend without breaking, making it suitable for applications requiring toughness

Are Polypropylene Sheets easy to fabricate and install?

Can be cut, drilled, and machined using standard tools
Thermoformable: Suitable for heat bending and welding
Bonding: Requires specialized adhesives or plastic welding for strong joints, as traditional glues don’t adhere well

Is Polypropylene Sheet heat-resistant?

High-temperature environments, it has a lower resistance to prolonged exposure to extreme cold, becoming brittle at very low temperatures
