What is acrylic mirror?

Is acrylic mirror as reflective as glass mirror?

Acrylic mirror provides excellent reflectivity (typically above 85%), though glass mirror remains slightly sharper. For most décor, retail, and signage applications, acrylic mirror looks nearly identical while being far easier to handle.

Can acrylic mirror be used outdoors?

Yes, but with some limitations. Acrylic itself is UV-stable and won’t yellow, but the reflective backing should be protected from moisture and edge exposure. Proper sealing or framing is recommended for outdoor installations.

Is acrylic mirror easy to cut and fabricate?

Very easy. It can be CNC-cut, laser-cut, drilled, and bent with heat. Care must be taken not to damage the mirror backing, so masking and correct tooling are essential.

Will acrylic mirror break if dropped?

Acrylic mirror is 5–10× more impact resistant than glass and is far less likely to shatter. While it can crack under heavy stress, it’s much safer in high-traffic areas, kids’ spaces, gyms, and shops.

Spoke to someone named Kip or kit this morning she was very rude and blunt,
We have an urgent requirement for Teflon sheet and she scoffed at me when I said we needed it urgently, and just said we are too busy to do that.
Very unprofessional
When owners holland plastic read this comment just be aware our order would have been in excess of $20k
we were happy to pay extra in overtime rates or overnight freight.
I would hate to have this person completing sales for my company especially when we have quite a large order needing sorted
